enhancing wildlife resource value to humankind in partnership with stakeholder
Welcome Note From Conservation Commissioner
Our vision and mission are in tandem with the Tanzania Development Vision (TDV) 2025, which envisions a substantially developed society with a high quality of livelihood by 2025. We are envisioned that by 2025 abject poverty will have been eliminated, as Tanzania will have become a middle-income country. Both vision and mission contribute to this national ideal. Our vision is also aligned with the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), of Agenda 2030, particularly goal no. 15 and 17. SDG no. 15 is related to protecting, restoring and promoting sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably managing forests, combating desertification, and halting and reversing land degradation and biodiversity loss and no. 17 is about strengthening the means of implementation and revitalizing the global partnership for sustainable development is also pertinent. We will strive to further improve its leadership and management to ensure it uses resources provided by partners productively to achieve intended objectives. Aligning vision and mission with the national development vision and the global SDGs to ensure effectively contributes to sustainable national development and through the country to sustainable global development.
