Conservation Act 2009 (Cap 283) through Government Notice No. 135 published in the Government Gazette on 9th May 2014. It became operational on 1st July 2016 with core responsibilities of biodiversity conservation and sustainable management of wildlife resources outside National Parks and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Authority is on a mission to conserve biodiversity and cultural heritage for recreation, knowledge, life support and prosperity. Thus, with the view to realize its mission, TAWA invites applications from interested and qualified individuals for investment opportunities in areas managed by TAWA in form of tourism facilities such as tented camps, lodges, hotels or similar businesses.
