Overview
Rungwa, Kizigo and Muhesi Game Reserves were established between 1951 and 1995; Rungwa in Manyoni District (Singida Region) and partly in Chunya District (Mbeya Region), Kizigo in Manyoni District (Singida Region) and Muhesi in Manyoni (Singida Region). They are mainly hunting grounds for tourist hunters with 12 hunting blocks.
Animals to find
Elephant, Sable and Roan Antelope, Buffalo, Waterbuck,impala, Hartebeest, Eland, Greater and Lesser Kudu, Bushbuck, Reed and Steinbuck, Lion, Zebra, Duikezr, Oribi, Klipspringer, Warthog and Hyena.
Vegetation
Mainly miombo woodlands and grasslands with acacia.

How to access?
By air landing at Rungwa airstrip and other seasonal airstrips; by road from Manyoni to Rungwa and from Mbeya via Chunya to Rungwa.
