Northern tourism circuit of Tanzania mainland


The total global population is estimated to be between 2.2 - 3.2 million of which 75-80% breeds in Lake Natron Ramsar Site in Arusha, Tanzania. Its habitat is on saline lakes, pans and coastal wetlands throughout sub-Saharan Africa. It also extends from the Arabian Peninsula to India. 

Animals to find

Lesser flamingo, greater flamingo, zebra, wildebeest, impala, buffaloes, goose, ibis and egrets.


Riparian forest along Pinyinyi and Wasso Ng’iro River, extensive wetlands vegitations of phragmites, cyperus and typha spp.

Things to do

Photographic, hunting, walking safari, bird watching, hiking, camping on transit to near by National parks, picnicking on the shores of the lake and very attractive Maasai dancing.
