Overview
Liparamba Game Reserve, on the southern part of Tanzania with Ruvuma River as its border, was established in 2000 in Mbinga, Songea and Nyasa districts in Ruvuma Region. Diversity in vegetation provides suitable habitat to many wildlife species who drink water from Ruvuma River.

Elephants, eland, hippo, honey badger, mongoose, Nile crocodile, pangolin, aardvark and many bird species including ground hornbill, hammerkorp, bustard and cormorant.
